Mental Health Training
Community Partners Consulting & Training provides mental health training for professionals on a variety of clinical, informational and administrative topics. We can bring this expertise to your staff, stakeholders and community members.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training programs are designed to increase mental health literacy, decrease stigmatizing attitudes, and increase appropriate and early help-seeking by people with mental health problems. This international evidence-based education program helps community members identify, understand and effectively respond to signs of possible mental illness and substance misuse. It mobilizes family members, neighbors, educators and faith workers—those most likely to notice behavioral changes—to recognize symptoms, intervene and link individuals with professional assistance.
In fact, Community Partners was one of the first organizations in the United States to offer community training in MHFA.
QPR Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention was developed by the QPR Institute. Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) is an emergency response mental health gatekeeper intervention training. It teaches you how to recognize and respond positively to someone exhibiting suicide warning signs and behaviors.
QPR is intended to identify and interrupt the crisis and direct that person to the proper care. Using the simple steps taught in this training, anyone can learn how to help save a life from suicide.
